This Is What Happens When Customs Agents Don’t Inspect Imported Foods
In a world full of spiders, it’s hard to pick just one and nominate it as the creepiest arachnid in existence. However, my personal nominee for creepiest bug ever would have to be the Brazilian wandering spider. Not only is it one of the world’s deadliest creatures, but it likes to wander (as you might have guessed). Basically, this thing doesn’t wait for prey to come to it.
Instead, the Brazilian wandering spider travels around hunting for prey and is, for whatever reason, especially fond of bananas. Even though it’s native to South America, this bug often finds its way to the States by hitching a ride on some bananas. One stock boy learned that lesson the hard way.
What happened to Redditor crackerman2000 a few years ago is an arachnophobe’s worst nightmare. He was stocking some fresh bananas when he found this little guy at the bottom of the crate.
It looks angry if you ask me.
There is an antidote to the Brazilian wandering spider’s bite. Unfortunately, these bites often lead to painful, long-lasting erections before victims are able to access the antidote.

Well, it’s a good thing that crackerman2000 caught this spider before it could bite him. Next time you’re grabbing some bananas at the grocery store, be on the lookout for these things. You definitely don’t want to bring one of them home.
